Another report today. This one from the Ranger 85, who called in with 79 yellowfin tuna, and 1 dorado, for day two of a three day! More proof that things are heating up and it’s time to go fishing!
The Sea Adventure 80 just called in with 20 yellowfin and 4 bluefin tuna! Seems like the bluefin are biting again, so if you want a shot at a big one it’s time to book a trip!

The Constitution started off their 2.5 day trip today with 48 Yellowfin Tuna!
The Sea Adventure 80 called in at the beginning of its trip and so far brought in 35 yellowfin tuna and 4 bluefin tuna. More good news, the fish that were cleaned had nothing but sardine in them! No more red crab means fish that want to bite! Book soon, trips are filling quickly!
Three boats just returned from a beautiful day on the water! The Ocean Odyssey was on a 1.5 day and enjoyed a catch of 79 yellowfin and 3 yellowtail!The Legend also returned from a 1.5 day with 23 yellowfin, 1 dorado, and 1 yellowtail! The Top Gun 80 just returned from it’s 3.5 day with 10 passengers. Their catch was 150 yellowfin tuna, 2 dorado, and 45 yellowtail!

The Old Glory just called in with its morning report! Captain Kley already has 50 yellowfin tuna on the boat! Off to a great start!
The Sea Adventure 80 came back from its 2.5 day with 106 yellowfin tuna! Lots of fish around and they’re biting!
The weather is good and the catching is GREAT!

The Top Gun 80 reported limits of Yellowfin Tuna and a couple of Dorado for the first 2 days of a 3.5 day trip!
Captain Ray on the Vendetta had a GREAT 3/4 day with 45 Yellowtail and 45 Calico Bass for their 9 passengers!
Old Glory wound up with 12 Yellowfin today. Captain Kley reported nice schools of Yellowfin Tuna under the boat.
The Ranger 85 is scratching away this morning and have a little better than 150 Yellowfin onboard for their trip, with lots of time remaining today.

Things are heating up offshore.
It was GREAT fishing off shore today the Ranger 85 ended their day with 108 Yellowfin, the Sea Adventure 80 has 75 Yellowfin, Top Gun 80 had 50 Yellowfin for their 10 guys!
It was very good Calico bass fishing for the Premier!
The Old Glory departs this evening at 9pm and is a definite GO. These fish are well within ONE DAY RANGE!

The Ranger 85 just called in (8:30 pm) with 126 Yellowfin Tuna on the first day of a 2-1/2 day trip and the Legend is up to 123 Yellowfin Tuna on their 2-1/2 day trip!

I recently took my girlfriend on our first overnight trip June 10, 2016, and first trip ever for Tuna. We luckily ended up on your boat the Ranger 85!
We were strolling the dock early and happened to meet Captain Robert who was prepping for our trip. He immediately smiled, introduced himself, and welcomed us to be a part of the trip. He asked us a few questions about our experience and found out we were brand new to this.
Captain Robert then proceeded to make calls and to get us a private room, because of my girlfriend and privacy issues.
As we stood at the dock the other members of the crew arrived and all were equally welcoming and friendly.
We left on time. On the way out Captain Robert lead the crew and explained the trip and his focus on Tuna because of the current fishing. He explained
” the rules”, and stressed safety.
He explained that he and the crew were there for us to catch fish and have fun. He stressed asking him and the crew for help with anything, and stressed “thats why we are here”!
We woke up to a wonderfully calm day and the fishing began.
The fishing was great! Apparently from what some of the experienced guys on the trip said, a rare day. At times we had 5 or more hook ups going. I landed a nice 80lbs or so BF, lost 3, and my girlfriend lost 1. Lots of fish lost by snapping the lines, they were all really big fish. Overall the boat landed a lot of BF! A great day!
The crew was so patient and calm throughout the trip, no matter how crazy things got. They calmly untangled lines and coached fisherman. During my hook ups the crew talked me through the process and taught me the techniques to fight the big fish, I really learned a lot.
They were especially patient with my girlfriend and the other new folks. I am new to this, but not new to fishing, so I figured it out quickly. The crew spent a lot of time helping and teaching my girlfriend, which freed me up to fish and have the fun I was there to do.
Another thing that was very noticeable, especially by my girlfriend who is a “neat freak”. is how clean the boat was, and how the crew was constantly cleaning, from the deck, to the heads, to the cabin. They were on top of it all the time!
Fishing is not always “catching” a crew cant really control conditions, But what they can control is the environment, and the overall experience. We are all obviously there to catch fish, but I think all of our desires are the same, to have fun! We had fun!
Captain Robert and the crew are obviously hardcore fisherman who work their buts of non stop! Great work ethic on this crew! Additionally they were all friendly, fun, intelligent, and great at engaging the customers in quality conversations, and ensuring a great, “overall experience”.
Chef Paul also cooked up great chow. He did a great job of walking around the boat talking to customers and checking that they were all fed well. He also ran out of the cabin a few times to gaff fish during hectic hook ups. Great job!
So, a perfect 1.5 day trip. Thanks to mother nature for the good fishing, and to the crew who put us on the fish. But most of all thanks to the crew who put the customers experience first!
We will be back and will certainly be recommending The Ranger85 !

Capt. Mike on-board the Malihini ended up with 79 Yellowtail, 24 barracuda & 85 bonito!
Mac on-board the Sea Adventure 80 dispatched in with 22 Yellowfin, 41 Yellowtail and 1 Dorado.
Half day trips have been excellent with great Calico bass fishing and a few Yellowtail.
The Ranger 85 returned with 52 mixed Yellowfin/Yellowtail.
The Chief returned with 49 mixed Yellowfin/Yellowtail.
